Research and development for the next generation of building management capabilities is now underway at The Hartman Company. The Uniterm is a network-compatible, computer controlled comfort module. It provides individually controlled ventilation air, light, and thermal comfort requirements to building occupants in offices and open area workstations.
The Uniterm system is a network of Uniterm modules, each of which delivers superior comfort through direct individualized occupant control. Uniterm systems reduce energy and operating costs in commercial buildings by replacing traditional HVAC terminal distribution equipment with standard Uniterm modules. The modules are linked via the Uniterm network to central air supply and heating/cooling equipment. Uniterm systems provide amenities that result in more comfortable and productive tenants while allowing building occupants access to a number of other network-based value added services. This translates to a new source of revenue for the building operator.
The Uniterm system is differentiated from all other modern high-performing building comfort systems by its low cost, modularity, flexibility, and automatic setup features which provide "plug and play" ease of installation and reconfiguring. The basic building block of the Uniterm system is the Uniterm module, a self-contained HVAC terminal air distribution unit designed as a ceiling mounted 2'x2' lay-in fixture. Uniterm employs components and features that are protected by existing and pending patents. Uniterm is a registered trademark.
Uniterm is in the development stage. Prototypes of the product have been produced and are currently being tested. If you are interested in this product or have questions or comments about specific features, please look through this material and contact us with your thoughts.
